Sheet Options

Once we have set our template options we need to tell our plugin what setting we want for our sheet, Facebook templates and Minisites must be set with a width of 520px, these are the Facebook rules, so we must be thinking in half the size we would normally use.

In our sheet options we can set the Minimum Height or Fixed Height, we have three choices for the Background Style, transparent, image or color, we are going to use an image, we selected image, and then from our Template Images we uploaded in the Template Options we have selected our page_bg.png, this we will repeat on the x axis that is just a horizontal repeat, all our backgrounds will have these same choices for ease of use.

As we will be deploying our template or minisite to Facebook, we will inherit the styles from Facebook not from the Admin Area of WordPress, we have set these to the Facebook Defaults, we could now change them here if we wanted to, to use a different color we would change the color hex # and choose the option custom to over-ride the default, this we could do for the other font attributes.

sheet2

As we can see we have a number of other font options we can change for our Template Page or Minisite.

sheet3

If we try and preview our template from Template Layout, we would see the message below, as we have four pages with up to five rows each, these have to be activated first, allowing us to try different layout options on each page.

sheet4

We just activate our pages and sections from the individual page settings, this one is the Page One Options, we would need to activate the other pages and rows for our template.

Now if we try and preview our template we have the option to view our template as HTML

sheet5

We will view our template later, but lets look now at our data directory, and see what our busy plugin has been doing, it has been creating a preview html minisite, this uses the images in the Facebook Folder but a different stylesheet with the Facebook defaults so we can check what our changes should look like, which we will do in the next post on Header Options.
